ShenZhen

Shenzhen, also known as Pengcheng, is a sub-provincial city and special economic zone under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province. Legend has it that Peng migrated to the South China Sea, and later, during the Ming Dynasty, the Dapeng Garrison was built here, hence the name “Pengcheng”. Located on the east bank of the Pearl River, it borders Hong Kong to the south, Dongguan and Huizhou to the north, faces the blue waters of Lingdingyang to the west, and overlooks the raging waves of the South China Sea to the east.
